Do you ever have trouble relating to what the Bible says about “remembering those bound…as though you were bound with them”? Never living in a place that persecutes believers can make it hard to imagine what it would be like to not own a Bible or talk freely about what is most important to you, or much much worse.

This has been the driving force behind The Martyrs’ Cross. For over 19 years it has been traveling all over the world in the hands of folks just like you and me and being given to Christians in prison or other restricted circumstances, worshiping and serving in hidden and underground ways. We wanted a tangible way to show them that they are remembered, and we wanted a meaningful way to remind ourselves to pray. We wanted to connect, and we have.

It’s been so beautiful to hear all the stories. We’ve even got to pass out a few ourselves.

Tens of thousands are now being worn in dozens of nations by believers who are giving up all to know Him. The Martyrs’ Cross is worn as a symbol of remembrance and solidarity. The message is clear: we will not forget, we will pray. And they are praying for us too, praying for us to know…

“…know him and the power of his resurrection, and…share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible (we) may attain the resurrection from the dead.” (Philippians 3)

There are lots of ways to connect with our family enduring persecution, but we like to think that wearing a Martyrs’ cross has become a really special one. Knowing that what is around your neck is around someone else’s on the other side of the world, even dangerously so, but still worn because of the meaningfulness to them—that means something. It means something because somewhere in the heart of God He wanted it too.

Our family has been so blessed to get to be a part of this work. However, it’s time for another really big change in our lives, we are moving across the country to Washington State. This is huge for us. We sincerely hope to be making more Martyrs’ Crosses but right now we do not know when or if that will be. Of course, that’s not an entirely new situation! Actually, that’s in many ways always been the rhythm and story of The Martyrs’ Cross. What a teacher of faith this process has been.

However, right now I literally have nineteen crosses left before they are all gone again and I’d really like to send them out instead of pack them up. I really want to get these into the hands and around the necks of other frail people like me who aren’t always going to remember to pray, but really want to try. Do you have a Martyrs’ Cross? Have you been wanting to share one? Now’s a really good time. I’ve marked the cost down by 50%.

The cross is still being made from pure sterling silver and handcrafted, so it usually costs $40 but while we’re prepping for this next move we are excited to offer them at $20. I hope if you’ve been wanting to get a Martyrs’ Cross that this discount will help and that now is a good time for you to do so!

Over the years, we also designed a pendent specifically designed to remember Israel in our prayers. In the same spirit, we’d love to get those with you all who have a heart to pray for Israel, she sure needs our prayers right now. I mention this secondly, but not by order of importance, this is one of my most treasured possessions. It is called The Beloved Pendent, and it is also marked down 50% right now, and is no longer being produced.

Thank you always for all your prayers for our family at large, and for us too. We are very very hopeful to get these crosses out and excited about this next adventure. I loathe sounding sale-sy, especially here, because our family enduring persecution and these crosses are so much a part of our heart and family, but please, truly, if you’re wanting one, get it before their gone.
